Spring Fling

Well this was a much anticipated weekend that didn't quite work out as planned. You would think I would give up on planning that seems to just ask for a monkey wrench to muck things up. Saturday started off late with a kitchen mishap that had to be cleaned up and our contribution to the potluck not happening.. sigh. We did have cookies I had baked the night before and some fresh grapes so off we headed. We missed the flash mob event (you have to be on time to an event that only takes 15 minutes start to finish). Oh well maybe next year. We were early to the Fling which is a nice change of pace. We did lousy in the GPS Accuracy game even worse than last year when we had only been caching a few months, maybe I didn't have the patience to try as hard. We bought raffle tickets as we like to do our part to help cover the costs of these great parties. Bob had twenty tickets and won seven prizes. I bought 10 and go ZERO prizes. Do the odds spell things out that way? No but luck does and this is how it usually goes for us.

The weather took a big change on the way home, but we had outlined some caches we hadn't found on the way and stopped to nab a few. We found every one we looked for even in the dreadful rain and the views were still pretty amazing. You can see the new and old Tacoma Narrows bridges in the background.
